My daughter is turning into a teenager and I am not ready for it! She has developed quite the attitude lately. Here are a few examples:
As we were trying to get her to leave my parents house: "Why are you guys ruining my life!"
A few mornings ago as we were eating breakfast: "Mom, make sure you take your happy medicine today so you can be nice to me." (For the record, the only 'medicine' I take every day is a vitamin.)
Yesterday, as she was throwing a fit because I wouldn't let her have a treat, because she didn't get her chores done: "Kameryn's mom lets her have treats whenever she wants because Kameryn's mom is nice!"
I frequently hear things like: "Why can't you just let me do what I want to?"
Oh dear....
