So far this summer...
William just gets more and more adorable every day. He saw the doctor yesterday and he is back to 1 oz above his birth weight. Apparently this is very impressive weight gain. His heart murmur and jaundice are completely gone. The doctor says he looks healthy and perfect. I couldn't agree more. We've only had 2 nights so far where he's been awake for anything other than eating. Last night he only got up to eat once! He's a pretty amazing baby.
Emily and Edward and doing pretty good at transitioning to having another sibling and getting less attention. There is definitely some increased grouchiness around our house though. Earlier in the week, Edward had strep throat and now they both have coughs. Because of this, they haven't been allowed to love on their brother as much as they would like to.
I have been trying to give the two of them as much attention as possible. On Monday, Edward went to Grandma's house and Emily and I had a girl party. We made Strawberry Milkshake cupcakes and painted our nails. I am never making filled cupcakes again. They were a huge pain and you can't really tell that they have filling.
Yesterday, while William was napping, we pulled out our little swimming pool and filled it up. Emily and Edward had a great time playing and splashing!
Today we will be starting on the library summer reading program and reading some stories together!
As for Jacob's summer, he is working. A lot. He has ended up working past his scheduled shift several times this week. Oh well, the overtime will be nice. He is looking forward to our trip to Henderson in a few weeks so he can have some time off! He has also been having fun playing with his new iPad. He has been saving birthday and Christmas money for a while to pay for a ticket to Vermont. Since that trip got cancelled (Grandpa is coming out here for his birthday), Jacob suddenly had lots of extra money and finally got the iPad he's been wanting.

Eddie's face is awesome in that last picture. It perfectly sums up the feeling of getting into a pool on a hot day. :)
I miss you and your family.
