As usual, I have not posted recently because life has been crazy! For one thing, school is really keeping me busy. For another, morning sickness has unfortunately set in. It still isn't as bad as it was with Emily, but we did pay a fun visit to the emergency room on Wednesday night. They just rehydrated me and gave me some drugs for the nausea and sent me home. It was joyous.
We then paid another visit to the hospital on Friday! That morning I started having really bad cramps, so I called to doctor's office and they wanted to do an ultrasound to make sure that the baby is where it's supposed to be and not ectopic. It is definitely where it's supposed to be and looking good. I haven't heard back from the doctor yet, but the lady doing the ultrasound said that there is a cyst in one of my ovaries, which could explain the cramping. According to her, they're pretty normal in the very early stages of pregnancy, buy usually go away by this point. So, mine is just have a harder time going away and thus causing some cramping.
But, on to the interesting stuff. Last weekend we attended my family's annual reunion. For those who don't know, this is not your average family reunion. We go camping for all of Memorial Day weekend and this year there were 472 people there. It is so much fun and always one of my favorite weekends of the whole year. My family came from Arizona, along with cousins from Idaho and all of the family from here in Utah. We spend the weekend eating too much, talking, playing Phase 10 and hiding from the rain. Yes, it rained for most of the weekend. We spend most of the weekend with our immediate family (by which I mean aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) and get the whole family (second cousins, great aunts and uncles, etc) together for a few activities such as a carnival, dancing and singing crazy songs.
Chilling in the hammock
Jacob, Robert and Kirk fixing a very yummy dinner.
Dancing with Grandpa
Learning the art of tomahawk throwing. We won't show you pictures of me trying...that was just embarassing, it's clearly not my skill.
