Happy Birthday Emily!

Oh my goodness, my daughter is two! Today is Emily's birthday and I cannot believe that it's been two years since she was born. Today was a good day for reminiscing since it snowed like crazy the day she was born and it snowed like crazy today!

Emily woke up this morning to discover balloons all over the living room. It's amazing how a package of balloons that cost $1.25 can provide entertainment for hours. We tripled the amount of balloons after this picture was taken. It's pretty awesome. We waited to blow the rest up until she was awake, so she could enjoy that part too. Good thing we did, she thought it was pretty hilarious.

Probably her favorite present, The Heffalump Movie. She was ready to watch it immediately.

Yay for cake! Actually, brownies. She's eats brownies better than cake, so that's what I made. She didn't eat much anyway because she got ice cream on her shirt and was very distraught. She is so girly.

We had a fun day playing with balloons, reading stories, playing with Tinker Bell stickers and watching Beauty and the Beast. It was surprisingly relaxing to just do what she wanted to all day.

We're so blessed to have Emily in our family. She can definitely be a pill some days, but she's so cute and such a good big sister. She made sure Edward was included in all our playing today...he got lots of balloons rubbed on his head. She's such a good helper, picking up her messes and bringing me things I need. She's very friendly and loving and expresses her love often. It's an amazing trait and makes everyone love her right back.

Here are some of Emily's favorite things:

Movies - The Heffalump Movie, Tinker Bell, The Aristocats

TV shows - My Friends Tigger & Pooh, Mickey Mouse Club House, Phineas and Ferb (I don't know why she likes that one so much, but she gets really excited every time she hears the theme song.)

Books - Look and Find Books, ...everything, I haven't found a book yet that she doesn't love.

Toys - Her Tinker Bell doll, her baby (and all it's accessories), her Little People Princess Castle

Activities - Coloring and going to the park

Foods - hot dogs, strawberries, chicken nuggets, apples, fruit snacks

How fun! She is cute! We really need to get Kameryn and her together sometime. It sounds like they would have a lot in common.

Happy Birthday, Emily! Two-year-old birthdays are the best! They have no expectations and they love everything. Hope she is a good "terrible two" for you.:)
