This year we traveled to Henderson to spend Thanksgiving with Jacob's family. The drive there was better than I think it has ever been. For this, I thank the beautiful drug, Dramamine. Emily and Edward get car sick and throw up almost every time. This time there was no throwing up, lots of sleeping and much rejoicing from the parents. And of course, super baby didn't fuss once. We stopped in Kingman where he ate in the time it took Dad to take brother and sister to the bathroom and then we were back on the road.
On Thanksgiving day, we helped Jacob's sister get a few dishes ready and then headed to his parents' house for the big meal. Everything was wonderful, as always, and it was great to spend to rest of the day talking and enjoying being with family. We even got out and let the kids run around at the park for a little while.
William did not wear this to Thanksgiving dinner. Mom picked a cute outfit for me? Obviously I should poop on it.
The next day we went to Ethel M's to see the lights. It was fun, but it would definitely have been more enjoyable if there had been less than a million people there.
Picture of us, because I don't remember the last time we took one.
Waiting in line to see Santa, I occupied myself by taking pictures. Emily was not excited at all, can you tell?
Neither of them could think of anything to ask Santa for and it took quite a bit of reassuring to convince Emily that Santa Claus is not scary, but they were both pretty happy that they got to sit on his lap.
On our final day there, we all got colds! Yay! It was fun. We also took the kids to see Wreck It Ralph, which might have been even more fun than the colds. Kids fighting in the car, falling asleep right as we get there, show being sold out, etc. Once we got into the movie though, it was fun. It was a cute movie and the kids have been quoting it ever since. Though, it is a little disconcerting to see them standing next to my Christmas tree saying, "I'm gonna wreck it!"
