Silent night? I'd go for a silent five minutes. William is not feeling well and thus not sleeping well and making Mom very tired. During the days, they are being their normal crazy selves. At least they're noise and craziness is so cute! Here are some of the things they've been doing lately.
Emily: In the car the other day I heard her talking to Edward, "Buddy, there's something hard that you're going to have to deal with. The Never, Ever song isn't a Christmas song, so you can't listen to it right now. I know that's hard, but you're just going to have to deal with it."
Eddie: He is currently in the stage where if he can't see you, you can't see him. It's hilarious. He frequently hides by closing his eyes. He has also been valiantly protecting me from monsters by crawling in my bed every morning and putting the blankets over my head.
William: Makes sure that even baby Jesus can't have a silent night by constantly tearing apart the nativity scene to the best of his ability. I spend quite a bit of time rescuing William from behind or under the tree after he realizes that he's stuck.
Jacob: Is gone. He's at a conference in Dallas. Don't get me wrong, I am glad that they like him so much at work that they're flying him all over the country, but I still don't like having him gone. Though it definitely does make me realize how much I love him and how much I rely on him! There is no motivation to get the house clean, to make a nice dinner and I find myself texting him constantly with hundreds of little questions. Emily has given me her doll to snuggle with for the week so I won't be lonely.
He has said that most of his meetings are just long, but some have been interesting. And, they're spending more on his food than what they usually pay him in a week, so that's kind of fun. The first night they went out to a fancy steak house and last night they had a cocktail party (I'm sure that was thrilling for him) followed by a formal 6 course meal. Tonight they're going to a BBQ place, so he gets to change out of his suit for the first time this week. Tomorrow he gets to come home! YAY!

Emily cracks me up. And I'm jealous of the food Jacob gets to eat. I'm not jealous that you have to miss him though. That's definitely no fun.
