NEW JOB!!!!!!!!!!!

We have been praying for months for a new job and have truly seen our prayer answered. Jacob went in for an interview with the Moran Eye Center a little while ago. It was the perfect job, with awesome pay and benefits. He didn't recieve a call on the day he was supposed to know, so we assumed he didn't get the job. However, we decided to call them back a few days later and they said that they had it narrowed down to him and one other candidate and he needed to come in for a second interview. He went in and found out that the other candidate was someone who already worked for the Moran and just wanted to transfer offices. Obviously the other guy had a bit of an advantage, so we kind of assumed Jacob wouldn't get the job. A few days later he got a call affirming our fears, they were going to offer it to the other guy. We were really confused since we really felt that this was the job that was meant for him. Later that day he got another call saying that it turned out the other guy only wanted part time so they wanted to hire Jacob instead!

So, as of July 14th, Jacob will become an employee of the Moran Eye Center! The Moran is part of the University of Utah, Jacob won't be working on campus but will be at their Old Mill clinic. Which is rather fortunate for him since his car has a big BYU sticker across the back. He will have to go up to campus sometimes, so we'll just have to hope he doesn't get mugged. Along with better pay and more opportunities, this job comes with half tuition to the U, so maybe we will have to add a U of U sticker to the car so that Jacob can attend school there.

The clinic he is going to be working at doesn't really do your average eye exams. They specialize in corneas. So Jacob will get to see and learn a lot of cool new things. We are so excited.

That's wonderful! We're so glad for you. By the way, I about hit the floor when I read Jacob's comment last night. Erik was like, "Do I even know this guy?" We both thought it was pretty funny. Although, Jacob, when was the last time that you got a two-hour backrub? That's what I thought.
